Last year, I heard a news that so many people gathered Shibuya in Halloween day.
So I went Shibuya on October 31,2015.
It was Saturday.
In the evening, there were already so many people.

There were people left at center of road.
People were flooding.
This was first time for me to see like this situation.

Halloween costume people appeared gradually.

Medias were also there.

They were collecting trash. Last year, so many trash had became problem. ”Gomibako” means trash box. It was beside there foot.
They were confronting problem. I felt trash were few than I had been anticipating.
Maybe trials to reduce trash are successful. And people who came Shibuya were also tried to bring their trash back.
Otherwise next year will be prohibited to enter Shibuya.

Around Center-gai.
Chaos, just chaos!! I had to take photos with camera rise. I released the shutter with no finder.

STAP cells exist!

Center-gai was full of people. There were heavy reflection.
But these photos make you feel atmosphere. Later I and other people were told do not stay here because here is pathway by security guard.

Center-gai again.
Too sexy girl! She is “Lum” (right) from “Urusei Yatsura”. I don’t know about left girl.
I had to ask her…She was also cute!

Pokemon master!

Sailor Moon again!

I went to Shibuya staton Keio Line entrance to send off my friend.
But It was so crowded. It took much time to arrive there.

Police restricted flow of people with yellow band.

She lost her shoe! What a pitty!

Puppet operator!

Horrible eyes!

Mysterious expression!

Many people were looking crossing from Shibuya station.

About 10:00 PM, more and more people came Shibuya.

View from Shibuya station. Police tried to keep safety.

I went crossing again to go home on foot.
There were some trash.

He was the most horrible this day!!

I really appreciate to police!!

I tried to walk through under TSUTAYA to go home. But I couldn’t move only one step. I was flown by crowd. I felt fear. It was really dangerous. More and more people gather here at night. After 10:00 PM is really danger. I recommend to go early time.

I went home through Dogenzaka area.
It was detour. But no choice.
There were also people picking up trash. This is nice and cool trial.
It’s important to enjoy and keep clean. Of course safety is also important.

I could enjoy Halloween day at Shibuya.
But a little tired.
Anyway, I knew that after 10:00 PM is really dangerous at crossing.
Here is a movie. It tells atmosphere of Halloween at Shibuya crossing.
After end of the movie, there became really dangerous situation.
So I could’t keep on shooting.

There are various opinion about this phenomenon include criticism.
I felt power of young people. And also I felt most of them tried to keep manner and rules.
I prefer those behaviors.
This Halloween differs from orthodox Halloween.
Japanese are good at taking in other culture, and enjoying them in arranged way.
It is also seen in history.
I felt that young people made new culture.
There is no producer about this phenomenon. Perfectly spontaneous. No one earn money. No framework.
It is interesting and important. I want to believe Japanese young people’s sense of balance about self controlling and enjoying.
They made fun culture. And they are trying to solve problems.
Both are spontaneous.
Culture changes by ages, places, technologies.
I’m happy to watch it. It’s exciting experience.
I want to say here is not place to enjoy without rules and manners.
If you go there, please keep rules and manners and enjoy together!
At the end, I want to say appreciation who permitted me to take photos.
Thank you very much!
