Sakura season in 2016, I took many Sakura photos in Tokyo.
From this article, I introduce some places.
Here is Asukayama Park, Kita-Ku, Tokyo, Japan.
Nearest station is Oji Station.
People enjoy Hanami(Cherry blossom viewing) here.

Asukayama is one of popular place to enjoy Hanami.
At Kyoho era(1716-1735) in Edo period, here was prepared as playing place. It was part of Kyoho Reforms by Yoshimune Tokugawa(November 27, 1684 – July 12, 1751, the eighth shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate of Japan). And it was designated as park in 1873 (Meiji Period). Here is one of first park in Japan. Ueno park is also first park.
This is old postcard from Taisho to early Showa Period (Maybe 1920s to early 1930).
As this picture, people visit here to enjoy Sakura since long time ago.
It has not changed now.

Here is small hill. But pedestrian footpath is well prepared.

This day was weekday. So people were few.

Not only Sakura, here is athletic place for children.

Steam Locomotive is exhibited.

In this park, there are three museums.
Kita City Asukayma Museum (Japanese), Paper Museum (English), Shibusawa Memorial Museum (English).
Unfortunately I have never visited them so far, but I want to visit them in the future.
Especially, I want to watch historical architecture Bankoro and Seienbunko included Shibusawa Memorial Museum.
I happened to discover pansies. It was burning spring with Sakura!!

After dark, lanterns were lit up.

As it becomes dark, people increases.

I didn’t know there were so many lanterns!!

Lanterns are so beautiful. But Sakura is not directly lit up. So here is a little dark to watch Sakura itself…

Road facing Asukayama Park has heavy traffic. Here is slope.

Tram Toden Arakawa Line passes this road. Toden Arakawa Line Asukayama Station is near from here. From this angle station building is not able to be seen . But here is the best for Asukayama Station. So I include this article LET station collection as Asukayama Station.
There are two tram lines in Tokyo. I like Tram. It makes city speed slow.

Passing opposite direction.

View from pedestrian bridge.

Only light track.

Stopping and moving. Can you see Sakura on left?? This is also Hanami!

After shooting, I saw Asukayama Park from pedestrian bridge.
Lantern’s lights were so beautiful! And voices people were enjoying Hanami echoed around park.
