Akihabara is famous for Otaku culture.
In this article, I’ll show two aspects of Akihabara with colors.
Here is Manseibashi crossing. Facing to Denkigai Street. “Denkigai” means Electric City. Here is special area in Tokyo.
Signs are different from other areas. They are futuristic and cool blue image.
These are long exposure photos. There is a huge girl character.
Center road is Denkigai street.

This is panorama photo. Colorful signs.
Akihabara developed as market after WW2. Later, many electric parts and goods shops gathered here. And now also famous for contents, for example Anime,Manga,Video Game,Idols.

To express atmosphere of Akihabara,I tried HDR.

Here is Denkigai street. Cars are waiting for signal. Beautiful perspective.

It’s like F1 Grand Prix! This is Akiba GP! Leading car(below right) is 痛車(Itasha). Itasha is a car designed Otaku culture designs on its body.It suits for Akihabara.

Oh Taxi, don’t disturb me! But I like this composition.

Opposite side of Denkigai street is Manseibashi Bridge.
Conversely for Denkigai Street, here is warm, old style design.
Red brick architecture is “mAARch ecute Kanda Manseibashi”. There are stylish shops and cafe.

General view of mAAch ecute Kanda Manseibashi.
This river is Kandagawa River.Red brick architecture was built in 1912 as Manseibashi Viaduct.
Roof was platform of Manseibashi station. And it was renovated in 2013. Even now train is passing through.
Light trail in above photo is train. Now roof is cafe. So visitors can enjoy coffee and train close by.

This is old postcard of my collection.
Manseibashi Station maybe in 1919-1923.This architecture was burnt by 1923 Great Kanto earthquake. So cool design.
Architect was Kingo Tatsuno. He also designed Tokyo Station.

Red brick and light makes warm atmosphere. Many people stop walking and enjoy beautiful view.
