In this article, I’ll introduce Roppongi Hills Observatory. It is located at Minato-Ku. There is business district.
So there are many buildings. And “Minato” means “harbor” in Japanese. Minato-Ku is facing to sea.
Observatory is separated 2 floors. 52nd floor interior observatory and roof top Sky Deck.
At first, I introduce photos from 52nd floor interior observatory.
Tokyo tower is right in front.
Fresh scenery during day time.
This angle is just opposite side from World Trade Center Building.
Right on Tokyo Tower is WTC. I have already introduced it once in this blog.
The Nippon View!! World Trade Center Building

Toward Odaiba direction. Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Gate bridge and sea.

Toward Shinjuku direction. Modern design architecture in front is The National Art Center,Tokyo. beautiful museum designed by Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa.

Tokyo Tower and Skytree. This angle (Tokyo tower front, Skytree back) is seen only here.
Old and new landmarks of Tokyo.

Front road is Tokyo Metropolitan Road 319 Circle 3.
Shuto expressway Inner Circular Route is passing near Tokyo Tower.

Let’s move to Sky Deck. Additional fee is required to enter Sky Deck. Only camera and mobile phone are permitted to bring. Please leave your baggage in the coin locker on 52nd floor. Hats or caps are also banned. Elevator takes you to Sky Deck.

Here is Sky Deck. Also heliport. Wooden corridor area only can walk. There are thorns on wooden corridor. Barefoot is dangerous.

Here is no window, no ceiling.
Summer is too hot, winter is too cold. Please think well season and time and your condition.

The same angle to 52nd floor. But more clear.

Panorama view.

Here is selected “Lovers Sanctuary”. I can understand. Here is so beautiful! I think here is also photographer’s sanctuary.

Only Tokyo Tower.

Close up Rainbow Bridge(front) and Tokyo Gate Bridge(back).

Toward Shibuya(left) and Shinjuku(right) direction. In sunny, clear day Mt.Fuji is seen. From November to February is best for Mt.Fuji.

Shinjuku Skyscraper.

52nd floor again. It’s getting dark. Shadow of Roppongi Hills is appeared on ground.

From calm scene, city begins shining gradually.
52nd floor is permitted to use tripod. So here are many photographers all the time.

Roads makes beautiful lines. Breath taking scenery…

This day, Tokyo Gate bridge shined blue color.

Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree.
There are heavy reflections at 52nd floor. So if you have gear to solute reflection, it will be difficult to taking photos after blue hour.

Sky Deck again at night.
Orange color of Tokyo Tower and Shuto Expressway make sense of unity.
Here is prohibited to use tripod. Photographer must try to make use of flat surface of fence. It is difficult to make angle.
Flat places are few. Let’s use them in turn.

Tokyo Tower and Skytree.

Close up of buildings. Building shines themselves and reflects lights each other. They makes shiny night of Tokyo.

Toward Shibuya direction at night.

Close up toward Shinjuku direction at night.

Another day, Shibuya direction with Mt.Fuji at dusk. Only clear sky day from November to February, Mt.Fuji is seen.
I was just late for the best time.

Close up. The road looks like leading to Mt.Fuji.

Tokyo tower changes its light up color by season.
Summer is orange and white. Other seasons are warm orange (above photos).
Summer is not clear sky. So I tried technical challenges like below.
Cool image post procession.

High Dynamic Range.

Panorama view. 2 towers, 2 ferris wheels, 2 bridges. Can you find all of them??

Only bokeh, but recognizable 🙂

The same angle just focus.

Here is a little expensive, but worth to go!
