In this article,I’ll introduce the “X” over the Sumida river,Tokyo,Japan.
Here is Sakurabashi Bridge. You may think this is ordinary bridge.

Let’s take a closer.

As you see, this bridge is separated. Opposite side is also the same design.
So this bridge looks like “X” from above. It will recognizable from Tokyo Skytree Observatory.
But I have never climbed there. One day,I’ll try it.

Back side is smooth.
A child discovered somthing!

It was house boat!
Fence is designed form of Sakurabashi Bridge.

On the bridge. This bridge is pedestrians only. Pedestrians only bridge is only here at Sumida River.
I watched a TV program “Cool Japan” by NHK. This bridge was introduced in it.
There are benches at center of the bridge. So senior people can get friends naturally.
This bridge ties not only places but also hearts.
This bridge was given Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka Prize in 1985.
Tanaka Prize comes from Mr Yutaka Tanaka. He engaged reconstruction from 1923 Great Kanto earthquake.
He buiilt a lot of bridges for example Eitaibashi Bridge and Kiyosubashi Bridge.

Night scene. Light up is soft. But so bright.

There was the moon.

People can walk safe. So many people pass through here.
