In this article, I introduce wisteria(藤 “Fuji” in Japanese) at Kameido Tenjinsha Koto-Ku,Tokyo,Japan.
Kameido Tenjinsha is built in 1662(Edo period).
So here is loved from many people for a long time.
Here is entrance gate “Torii”.
Here is famous for arched bridge.
From late April to early May,wisteria festival held.
I went there in April 28th. Wisteria was almost full bloom.
Here is main place for prayer.
Tokyo Skytree is seen. Contrast of tradition and modern.
I think fascination of here is Arched bridge and water.
This picture is old postcard of my collection.
Maybe from Taisho period to early Showa period(previous WW2).It is 1912-1940.
It’s similar to present day. Visitors can feel connection to old days.

There are many food cart. But they close at 5:30PM.
Many people.Many foreign travelers.
Japanese style garden.
“Kame” means turtle in Japanese.There were turtle.
Beautiful large bird.
Tokyo Skytree is one more fascination now.
This is a statue of Michizane Sugawara at five years old.(I don’t know why five years old.)
He is god of here.
The origin of here is Dazaifu Tenmangu at Fukuoka prefecture,Japan.
So design of garden and architecture is based on Dazaifu Tenmangu.
And that’s why here is god of study.
Here is a Ryoutei(means high class Japanese style restaurant).
It’s name is Wakafuku. Lunch time is a little cheap.
Dinner is expensive. But visitors can enjoy traditional Japanese style meal.
It is called “Kaiseki Ryouri”.
Light up is a little weak.
I went here on weekday,there were few people after 5:00PM.
Tripod is possible to use.But there are dark.Please watch your step.

Open:Garden is 24h open. But main prayer place is from 6:00AM to 5:00 PM.
Nearest station:Kameido Station/JR Sobu Line Kinshicho Station/Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line.
It takes about 15 minutes on foot.But there are interesting shopping street around here,
I recommend to go on foot from station.
Of course, it is possible to go by bus from station.
And here is also famous for other flowers.
Early February to Early March (Full bloom is middle February)
Late October to late November (Full bloom is early February)
If possible, I ‘ll try them!
