In last article,I introduced Shinjuku O-Guard.
It was broad angle.
In this article I tried close up panning photos on train.
From Shintoshin-hodoukyou.
Shiny neon express atmosphere of Shinjuku.

I used AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED lens with Nikon D810.
This lens is cheap.
My first camera is Nikon D5000.
I bought it with double zoom kit. This lens is one of them.
This is a DX lens.
Being used with FX camera D810,image is cropped from 7360×4912 pixel to 4800×3200 pixel.
But focal length is enhanced 1.5 times. It becomes 77.5-300mm.
This is telephoto lens.
I enjoyed taking telephoto pictures.
I felt difficulty about finder.
I can see 7360×4912 angle,but picture appears 4800×3200.
There was a gap between view angle and actual angle.
It was hard until I got familiar it.

Various trains were passing.

Panning was so difficult! Almost all the photos were failure.
But many trains pass incessantly, I got many chances!
And I think blur is one of expression. So, a little blur is OK 😉

When I was boy,I often played baseball.
I felt panning is similar to batting of baseball.
Important thing is timing and parallel rotation.
But not easy.

Here is under the elevated railway.

I like flowing signs and people.
It make me feel life.
I tried 1/25-1/15 shutter speed.
More slow shutter makes more fantastic photo!
Of course,more difficult.

And these are another day with FX lens AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR.
More broad angle.

This is my first trying of panning.
It was so fun! I’ll try more and more panning photos!
